Sovski Pounds Wetland (Sovki)
Sovki is a cascade of beautiful pounds almost in the center of Kyiv.
It's a shelter for many species, that are so rare to see in large cities, like ducks, tortoises, water hens, and many others. Recently "construction mafia" put their eyes on this huge spot of land, aiming to destroy it and build a huge quarter of skyscrapers. The "mafia" is led by Mr. Igor Balenko, a member of the city council in the faction of European Solidarity.
